I did like Detective Lambert and for a change, it was Grandma who was sweet on the detective, since he was an older guy around her age. The triangle with Raine and two men she likes seemed a tad awkward, but they ended up working fairly well together since one of the guys was a licensed PI. Twain, who dressed and acted like the real Mark Twain 24/7. I think along with Daisy, the character I enjoyed the most was Mr. ![]() While there weren't tons of suspects and once I got far enough into the book, I knew who did it, but it was interesting to see how it played out. ![]() Daisy was awesome and she even found a key piece of evidence. I mean, hey it's fiction, why not have an adorable different type of pet that was more like a little person. I had my doubts about this when I read the description when it first came out, but when I read it, I went nuts over that sweet little chimp Daisy that hostesses in the tea room. I've had this borrowed through Kindle Unlimited for quite awhile now, but have been challenging myself to move some titles along so I can add more. ![]()
